You want to grow... but is your business ready for it?
Mine wasn't.

For my first “successful” business, I shot from the hip at all times (pew pew).
Outside of content, I didn’t have any processes: sales, onboarding, hiring… Nothing.
Our best month was a little under $80,000 right before Covid. We could have gotten a lot further than that if I prepared for the growth and really took the time to get to know my business.
So, I want to briefly walk you through what I’m doing now and how you can learn from my mistakes.
One night, after a couple of passionless [business] years… I randomly got excited.
Like pull an all-nighter excited.
I started mapping out a plan for a business that had a unique model. I broke down numbers. Did a ton of research. Looked at other business models. Built out some basic items and decided I was going to really go for it (after a few months).
I signed a handful of clients.
Over time, I realized I was repeating myself over and over again. Helping people build out the same systems. Touching on the same frameworks and concepts. Walking people through the same exercises. Giving them the same tools.
I worked on what is now my Business Leveling Blueprint for months. Which was wildly uncomfortable for me because I prefer speed. But it was worth it.
Everybody wants growth. But growth is painful as hell if you’re not prepared for that growth — I’ve been there.
What does that preparation look like?
Knowing where you (and your team) are spending your time
Understanding your high leverage activities
Having SOPs and processes documented
Aligning the numbers with where you want to go
A deep understanding of your client acquisition/sales process
Developing a clear vision and plan
Making sure you have the right tools and tech in place
Establishing a feedback loop for continuous improvement
Choosing a scalable business model that can handle the growth
And so on
You do the dirty work upfront to save yourself a lot of time and headaches down the road. And you optimize along the way.
An Important Note: if you are just getting started then feel free to make a mess. Find out what works, break things, find the redundancies and bottle necks. Don’t waste time building out processes or “Blueprints” if you don’t know if it’s really needed [or will sell].
Even now, I started taking on clients before any of what I mentioned above. When the need came up, I made adjustments.
Your Weekly Quest
One thing that has helped me a lot over the years is tracking my time. I started doing it again a few months ago and it has been a game changer for me.
Take a look at where you are spending your time this week. I use Toggl (free) to track my time and then I sync that with Notion (free) so I can get a quick view.

This was a two-day period for me that I looked at a little bit ago. I felt that my daily activities weren’t aligned with my business goals, so I started treating myself like one of my clients.
I was working on my blueprint so that took a ton of my time (which was fine). But I wasn’t spending enough time on sales. So, I made the adjustments needed to help me get to where I wanted to go.
Give it a try!
I want to get my Blueprint in more hands. Interested?
I want to get my Blueprint in more people’s hands so I can work out the bugs and make improvements before I start using it with my monthly 1:1 clients. I just started selling a $500 sprint. You get me for 30 days. Weekly coaching. My Blueprint. Discord channels to chat with me. My Notion OS (what I run my business through) and some other things.
And then we grind for a month to get you to one specific goal.
For most people that’s a financial goal. But for others it is operations or content related.
