How to Get a Quick Win in Your Business

When I started my first company the only thing I really knew how to do, was create on social media (and I wasn’t even great at that). I thought that content was the way to grow a business — and it definitely can grow a business. But it is not the only way.

This week I just want to talk about one thing — how to leverage what you already have to get quick wins and make some money. This newsletter is going to be a little bit different than the others. I’ll share what one of my free $30k MRR clients is doing (I really need to name these clients — players? freebies? If you have any ideas shoot me back an email, please lol).

I’ll also share what I am doing currently to leverage what I have to grow my business.

Identifying Your Resources

We all have a network, following, or other resources that we can tap into. For me, that’s my professional network, LinkedIn & TikTok following, and my email list.

For Tabitha, that is her previous clients, network of veterans, and her LinkedIn network.

For others, this may be friends (or friends of friends).

But we all have something.

Tabitha is one of my free clients for this newsletter series. When we started working together, she was an “everything” agency. Doing anything and everything for a low price.

Since then, she has made some adjustments and now has two offers. One lower ticket item and one higher ticket (done for you).

She sent out one email to her previous clients and was able to sell 3 lower ticket items at just under $1000 a month.

She sold two more from interacting in her LinkedIn DMs with veterans.

Making $5k from 1 email and a few messages.

My Current Process

I have a daily list of non-negotiables (I call it my Daily XP list or Dailies) to grow my business. On that list, I have a task where I send out 20 messages to my current LinkedIn network.

  • I created a list via Sales Navigator that is aligned with my client criteria but is segmented by people I am already connected to (and excludes all of my other sales navigator lists that I have created).

  • I vet each person to make sure they are a good fit.

  • I send them a video / audio message (currently A/B testing this).

That message looks something like this:

Hey {name}!

Totally random, but I’m reaching out because I’ve been working on something special to help B2B Entrepreneurs & Creators scale to $20k-$80k a month.

Over the years, I’ve coached or worked with people like Jackie Hermes, Lewis Howes, Shay Rowbottom and many more. I’m only offering this to my LinkedIn connections right now and I thought you’d be a good fit.

If you’d be open to it, I’d love to find 10-15 minutes to learn more about you to see if this could be a potential fit to help you scale + give you a few ideas.

Let me know if you want my calendar link to book a slot.

Worst case scenario I’ll share a few things that have been working really well for other entrepreneurs and creators I’ve worked with a similar model to yours.

This video message crushes. I don’t use it word for word, but rather as a guideline of the major points I want to hit.

Stuff like this used to make me super uncomfortable. But at the end of the day, I have an offer that works, and I really want to help them scale.

Your Weekly Quest

  • Make a list of your resources: network, following, etc.

  • Reach out (you don’t even have to sell anything — just say what’s up!)

  • Bonus points: try to book a call like I do with the script above
